Practice, Practice, Practice
On the streets of New York a tourist asks a Local lady “How do I get to Carnegie Hall” to which the reply is “Practice, Practice, Practice”.
Practice is a reoccurring theme in every aspect of our lives. From the Sports Athlete through to the various techniques like the CBT of the Metal Health discipline, Practicing and the actions required will drive changes in your life .
Like everything in life practice has a Spectrum of application:
Sports – a weekend warrior wants to play better and have the required knowledge and physical skills to play Right, the Professional athletes practices until they cannot play Wrong.
Cognitive Behavioral Theory(CBT) is widely used for various Mental Health issues. An example might be Stress or Anxiety sufferers – part of the processes is to put yourself into controlled situations that are known to cause the stress or anxiety and then Practice learning how to handling the feelings.
Public Speaking is one of the most reported inducers of Fear in people. While people are quick to laughingly suggest looking out at the audience and thinking of them in their underwear as a way to ward off this fear – Practice and routines are the best way to help yourself.
