Mental Health: Positive

Can you think of a more controversial term these days - Mental Health? The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(DSM-5) is the tool published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA).  It has become so large everyone is covered by some diagnosis but are we all so easily put into a disorder box - No.

For our purposes, Mental Health will be a positive term.  Like other parts of our life,  Physical, Financial and Social some time taking care of our Mind will bring Balance to our lives and cannot be ignored except at our peril.

My personal Mental health days involve activities that Flush out all the Stresses of Life - Meditation, riding a motorcycle, Sailing,  playing sports,  taking a walk,  playing with my kids,  Anything that can get you into your zone where the Mind calms down and Focuses on the Now.  A symptom of a successful session - losing track of time occurs.
